Tying Tiffany, a background and experience at the complete opposite pole of the honeyed personality represented in the Blake Edwards’s famous film of which she shares the name. Her sound is made of strong tones, the ones she..s always loved, since she was travellin.. around Europe as bass player and vocal of underground bands, and performed in rock clubs, social clubs and squat in front of a few dozens of people. She took part as actress in some widely artistic films and theatrical performances. In 2005 she took time for electronic music including the track “You Know Me” in the “Full Body workout vol 2” for the prestigious Berlin based label Get Physical. Her debut album “Undercover” released in 2005 has the strength of a “concept album”, an amazing essence of quotes: Moroder disco rides, wild synth arpeggio, clattering guitar riffs, hardcore and electro rhythmics straight from the 80..s and 90..s live together with Tiffany..s EBM past and with her passion for industrial, dark and punk. Undercover is highly acclaimed from international press, public and media and becomes the Italian music phenomenon of 2006 Tiffany is not just a good artist and musician but as well an extraordinary performer with over 200 dates in this past year, in Italy and Europe and sharing the stage with artists and names from the likes of Iggy Pop, Buzzcocks, Stereo Total, The Rapture, Eels, Deus, Tiga and Alec Empire with whom she tour in 2008. After a successful show on the NME stage at Groningen’s festival, New York..s I Scream records offered her a deal to release her second Album called “Brain for breakfast” and featuring some precious collaborations: Wolfgang Schrödl (Liquido), Pete Namlook and Nic Endo (Atari Teenage Riot/Alec Empire). Soon after the Album release, followed an intense European tour of 80 plus dates! In the meanwhile she’s gained many awards , in Italy the PIVI for the best screenplay for the Clip “pazza” and the other videoClip “Slow Motion” (with Nic Endo..s remix) was aired in Europe and Asia. Moonlight Festival 2009 sees the end of her tour to quickly plunge into the making of Peoples Temple, her third album in career due for 2010 release. This new Album draws from the 80..s dark wave sounds which Tying Tiffany pushes the boundaries of her style one step further than ordinary, a dark and sharp record enriched with captivating melodies. Peoples Temple takes the inspiration from the lack of models, critical awareness and from the feeling of general vacuity pervading in the new generations. It’s no accident that the album title is inspired by the homonymous San Francisco’s cult led by Jim Jones guilty for the ’78 mass suicide.

Montreal-based one-man band Yoav puts himself to the test on the follow-up to his well-received 2008 debut, Charmed and Strange, increasing the level of complexity in the intricately sampled and looped layering, while still insisting that he go it alone. Yoav creates all manner of palatable sounds by hammering, strumming and strangling his long-suffering guitar and streaming it through a massive pedal board he calls “The Beast”.
On his new album “A Foolproof Escape Plan” Yoav has expanded his range of effects and even include a modest amount drums and piano on some of his tracks – though still maintaining the overall feel of the previous album. The album also marks a slight change in style for Yoav, as the album contains several songs that are more up-beat and “positive” than was the case with “Charmed and Strange”.
The opening song “Greed” is a good example of the new album – more energetic than the old songs, but still keeping an open air around the music. Yoav’s new style also really shines through on the song “Yellowbrite Smile”. But that is not to say that Yoav has abandoned his old style… Not at all. Some of the moments on the album are the songs “Little Black Box” and “Safety in Numbers” all of which are every bit as trance-inducing as any of the old stuff.

Rooted in hip-hop and dipping into elements of indie rock, down-tempo, dub and dance, Inspired Flight is taking your pre-conceived notion of what a band and DJ are and merging them into something new and quite appealing. By creatively integrating traditional DJ elements, like sampling and scratching, into original head-nodding songs reminiscent of Gorillaz and Broken Bells, this duo from San Diego, CA is carving out their very own unique music niche. Inspired Flight performs their music live by combining multiple laptops, keyboards and turntables while incorporating guitars, kalimbas, melodicas and vocals, translating into the ultimate electric, live experience.

The music is light, clean, and captivating. The vocals usually begin pained and yearning, and quickly develop into floating melancholy melodies that force you to slowly sway with the lush and delicate instruments.

They still keep one arm in the hip-hop world, showcasing underground rappers on a handful of their tracks. You’ll notice one of the tracks below includes some swift delivery from Eligh of Living Legends. Yeah, that’s right, I know I just got Train and Hot Dog’s attention.

Give it a full listen through i guarantee you it wont disappoint.
Grab your headphones, relax and prepare to take off because this album is like a journey into musical bliss.
